MAYA REED — CREATIVE DIRECTOR

When being capable became exhausting.

When being capable became exhausting.

Maya was the person everyone relied on—at work, at home, everywhere in between. Therapy gave her somewhere she didn’t have to perform. She began setting limits without over-explaining and learned that rest wasn’t something she had to earn.

LEON PARK — PRODUCT DESIGNER

A new chapter that finally felt like his.

A new chapter that finally felt like his.

After moving cities for a role he had worked years to reach, Leon expected to feel proud. Instead, he felt lonely and strangely disconnected from himself. Our work helped him slow down, name what he actually needed, and build a life beyond the next achievement.

AMARA LEWIS — SMALL BUSINESS OWNER

Saying no without carrying the guilt.

Saying no without carrying the guilt.

Amara could make space for everyone except herself. She came to therapy tired of agreeing, accommodating, and quietly resenting it later. With practice, she found a more honest way to care for people—one that included clear boundaries and her own needs too.

MINE AKBABA — UX DESIGNER

Seeing fear as a friend instead of an enemy.

Seeing fear as a friend instead of an enemy.

Mine is a UX designer who has always dreamed of making games. But measuring herself against everyone else left her frozen—doing nothing felt safer than not being good enough. Therapy helped her face her fears one step at a time and start building toward the work she loves.

I came in thinking I just needed to 'fix' my anxiety so I could be more productive. What I got was so much more than coping strategies. Alma helped me understand where the anxiety came from, why it made sense, and most importantly, why it doesn't have to run my life anymore. I'm not anxiety-free, but I'm finally in control.

J, 28

Software Engineer

I spent my entire 20s being the 'chill' partner, swallowing my own needs to keep the peace. I didn't even know what I wanted anymore. Therapy felt like waking up. I learned that setting boundaries didn't make me difficult; it made me real. I finally feel like a participant in my own life, not just an observer.

Sarah, 29

Graphic Designer

I avoided therapy for years because I didn't want a stranger nodding at me and asking 'how that feels.' Alma isn't like that. She challenged me. She called me out when I was intellectualizing my feelings instead of feeling them. It wasn't just venting; it was actual work, and it changed how I show up for my family.

Mark, 42

Civil Engineer

I came in thinking I just needed better time management skills. I realized quickly that my calendar wasn't the problem; my self-worth was. I was saying 'yes' to everything because I was afraid of not being enough. Unpacking that was heavy, but it was the only way to finally get some rest.

Jasmine, 35

ER NURSE

I was always the rock for everyone else. I didn't think I was allowed to crumble. When my grief finally hit, it knocked me sideways. Alma gave me a space where I didn't have to hold it together. It was the first place in the world where I could just be messy and broken, and that was exactly what I needed to heal.

David, 39

RESTAURANT OWNER

I thought I had impostor syndrome, but it was actually just a brutal inner critic that never let me celebrate a win. We worked on separating my voice from that critical noise. I still have high standards, but I don't beat myself up for being human anymore. It’s quieted the noise in my head significantly.

Chloe, 26

PHD CANDIDATE

I kept dating the same unavailable person with a different face, over and over again. I felt cursed. Alma helped me trace that pattern back to its root without making me feel ashamed of it. Breaking that cycle was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I’m finally in a relationship that feels safe, not just exciting.

Alex, 33

ARCHITECT

After my divorce, I didn't know who I was outside of being a 'we.' I felt untethered. The sessions weren't just about processing the pain; they were about rebuilding my identity from the ground up. I found parts of myself I thought were gone forever. I like the person I’m becoming.

Rachel, 45

MARKETING DIRECTOR

I wasn't sad, exactly. I just felt... grey. Everything felt like walking through mud. I thought I had lost my spark. We dug into the emotions I had been suppressing for years, and slowly, the color started coming back. I realized that by numbing the pain, I had numbed the joy too.

Liam, 28

MUSICIAN

I was terrified of passing my own trauma down to my daughter. I was over-parenting to compensate for my own childhood. Alma helped me distinguish between my past fears and my present reality. I’m a better mother now because I’m not parenting from a place of fear anymore.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you're asking the question, it probably is. Therapy isn't just for crisis—it's for anyone who wants clarity, growth, or relief. If something feels heavy, stuck, or off, that's reason enough.

What's the difference between a consultation and a first session?

The consultation is a quick, free 15-minute phone call. We chat about what's going on and see if we click. No pressure, no forms. If it feels right, we schedule the first full session—that's where the real work begins.

Do you take insurance?

I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly. However, if you have a PPO plan, you can likely get reimbursed for a portion of our sessions. I provide a monthly superbill that you submit to your insurance. This approach also means I don't have to assign you a diagnosis or share our session notes with your insurance company.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people find what they need in 8-12 sessions. Others prefer ongoing support for months or longer. We'll check in regularly about what's working and adjust as you grow.

What if I've tried therapy before and it didn't work?

That's more common than you think. Therapy is deeply personal—if the fit wasn't right, the approach didn't land, or the timing was off, it doesn't mean therapy doesn't work. It means you hadn't found your therapist yet. Let's talk about what didn't work so we can do it differently.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. What you share stays between us, with rare exceptions: if there's an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there's suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult. Otherwise, your sessions are entirely private.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Life happens. I just ask for 24 hours' notice so I can offer that time to another client. If you need to cancel last-minute due to an emergency, we'll work it out.
